The Busy and Fabulous Life of Me

My hectic life is keeping me from being able to write on my blog recently. Work’s been busy. Life at home has been busy. My friends have required my help with work-related stuff and what not, so there has been little or almost no time for blogging.  The poor New Post button practically begged me to click on it, so here I am.

Let’s see, what’s been going on lately? I was sick all last weekend. I mean really sick. I had gone to the beach the weekend before that. But I was too tired afterwards to blog about it. I posted the images on Flickr though. So you can check them out. Every thing was great at the beach that day except for the fact that our car broke down on the way back. Nothing’s perfect, right?

As you all know this weekend is a long holiday weekend. I realized that today is like Thursday because tomorrow is like Friday. Maybe that’s why I’m in such a good mood today. Or maybe it’s because of my plans for the end of the week. In case you’re wondering what I am planning in my fantastic and fancy life for this weekend, well I’ll tell you that I am going to Cartagena! Finally a cool vacation! Yay me!

I am leaving this Friday morning and I still don’t know when I’m coming back. I might have to cut my trip short due to reasons that are beyond my control. But I intend to make the most of the time I will spend there. I will take a lot of pictures, of course. My batteries are in the battery charger as I type this. I will visit the Walled City and the San Felipe Fort. I haven’t been to Cartagena in soo long. I used to go there very often when I worked as a tour guide and I always loved my time in that precious city.  And my friends always prefer to go to Santa Marta, so there was never a chance for me to go to there. I am also planning to find a place called La Cevicheria and try out their food. I’m not a big fan of seafood, but I saw that place in a show  about Colombian cuisine and now I am curious.  I will tell you all about my trip when I get back.

Okay, so this busy bee has to return to her workplace. Tomorrow we’re having a farewell dinner for a friend who’s leaving the country and the next day I’m off to my awesome weekend in Cartagena. Please don’t be jealous of my fabulous life.
